Rebel

Inspired by Jung's idea of a collective subconscious and the 12 archetypes that we all share.

This is my sculptural interpretation of the rebel.
Magician

I read about Jung's archetypes and allowed my subconscious to go where it needed to go. I then completed the process by analysing the artwork as an object to be experienced.
Jester

Inspired by Jung's idea of shared characteristics.

Sage

An image of the equation of quarks is located in the Sage's stomach. Quarks are the smallest building blocks in all living matter (as far as I understand it).
Lover

Showcasing the spotlight and chutzpah of being a lover
Innocent.

Trying to capture the sense of being unstained and illuminating in the state of innocence.

Hero

The form is inspired by the Trundholm sun chariot
Explorer

The base has a relief markings inspired by map contours. The decals are taken from pathways and destinations seen on OS maps.

Caregiver

The base is made from ripples of water in relief and the caregiver carries bowls. Decals of grading colour reach down into the bowls as if the caregiver is feeding her community.
Orphan

The orphan here is defiant. Although maybe a challenging start to life, this orphan is powerful and has the stance of defiance.
Creator

Inspired by Orreries to generate a sense of creation.
Ruler

This character towers above its community. The delicate cloak implies a wider influence.
Making process

Quick glimpse in to the making process.
